my next project is the city of love.
it will start tomorrow.
this is all from dresden for now.
I hope you like my home town.
i am back with my blog.
so i can start with my new series: dresden.
dresden is my home town. so i have a special relationship to this town.
in the next days i will show you some personal views of dresden.
but before i start, i will tell you some facts about dresden:
- dresden is the capital city of free state of saxony.
- saxony by the way is an east state of germany.
- dresden was build in a valley on the river elbe.
- it is famous for its baroque-style architecture and is also know as “florence of the elbe”
- dresden is more than 800 years old

by all means you get very romantic vistas.

in a few minutes it can changes completely.
this clouds are moving very fast.
So it was a good idea to look after a secure housing.

in the summer period they are filled with horses.

this is a typical weather situation on the foothill of the altai.
mongolian nomads use the rich meadowland covert by the foothill for their herds.
therefore you can see ger’s often in such areas.

the area around this foothill of the altai is used as meadowland.
so you can see the characteristic housings of mongolian nomads, the ger’s.

you can charter such cars for long-distance travel around mongolia..
khuvsgul weather conditions in july are very frendly but unsettled.

horses have long been an essential part of mongols life.
the bond between people and horses goes back at least a thousand years.
most of them are living freely in herds on open land but are owned by nomadic people.
only to milk they have to come “home”.
at this passage near the khuvsgul lake a herd of horses crosses a small river.

there are drinking fountains spreaded over the whole country,
which are generally build in the time of mongolian people’s republic.
nomads stay near such fountains to get water for the herd.

also at the smallest villages, you can find this satellite dishes.
sometimes they are bigger than the houses of the occupants.
in solitary regions, where no electricity is available, you can found also small wind generators.

this is a typical small-town mongolia supermarket, that features many of the supplies for the country’s home.
supplies comes usually from all over the world, amongst others from united states, germany, russia and china.
